萨比诺峡谷的点评
点评：This recreation area, run by the US Forest Service, accepts the national park pass, which is helpful. You need to understand that the roads are closed to vehicle traffic, though. You can then purchase tickets to the Sabino Canyon shuttle, which takes you to the top and you can walk back down (or meet up with the shuttle at various stops along the way), or you can get tickets to the Bear Canyon shuttle. What we didn't know is that these fill up quickly - you can probably get them online actually - and so we would have had to wait an hour for a shuttle that morning.
We didn't want to wait, so we did our hike from the visitor center. Turned out to be a great option! We took the Sabino Lake Trail to the Creek Trail - turned out to follow the creek up the canyon and actually offered some very welcome shade! The creek trail crosses the creek at one point, risking wet feet, but on the way back we stayed on the other side of the creek all the way down past the dam and crossed over the creek on the road that the Bear Canyon shuttle takes.
