Visited Shaldon Zoo with my partner and children during a recent visit to Torquay.
Lovely little zoo and well worth the visit. Our children loved it and was great seeing all the animals up close but at a safe distance.
Lady staff member at the entrance in the gift shop was very friendly and knowledgeable about the zoo, and made our visit great. She is an asset to the zoo and should be commended, took the time to speak to us about the zoo and the local area and was great with our kids.
Parking is nearby at a low cost, and toilets aren’t located inside the zoo but are nearby. You can come and go to the zoo during the day which I found was a good option if staying in the area.
Gift shop has ample amount of gifts for all ages and at a very reasonable price.
If visiting also recommend going down smugglers tunnel and to the beach there, absolutely spectacular beach!
