基拉韦厄火山的点评
点评：During this past year, I was able to visit several National Parks with volcanic activity both dormant and extinct at Lassen, Crater Lake and Haleakala; however, at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Kilauea, whether erupting or smoldering, makes this park so different from other experiences. Unfortunately, the day of our visit the volcano was not erupting, but Kilauea would be 6 days after. Still, we were able to see it smoldering which made for an exciting experience just knowing it could erupt at any time.
We had the opportunity to see into the Kilauea crater from the Kilauea-Iki hike and the Volcano House and crater overlook. Every time it was moving and exciting and precisely the thing you come to experience. I cannot say enough great things about it. There are many great things to see at HVNP, the Chain of Craters Road, the Sea Arch, the Lava Tube and Kilauea-Iki hike. However, none of them provide the potential expectation that Kilauea does. It truly makes the park unique and special.
