Margate Main Sands的点评
点评：Margate beach at sunset, fish & chips in hand, my partner beside me and a good friend who lives locally showing us how a proper Margate evening should be done. Sometimes the simplest things really are the best.
We sat right on the seafront as the tide went out, watching the sky turn gold over the water, with a very generous box of freshly cooked fish and chips. Crispy batter, proper chunky chips and a sea view that no first-class lounge could compete with.
As ex first class cabin crew, I’ve eaten in some fairly glamorous places around the world, but there’s something rather special about eating fish & chips from a cardboard box while watching the sun set over the sea. No silver service required, no tray tables to stow and absolutely no complaints about the in-flight catering!
The local seagulls were, of course, operating their own highly efficient meal service and appeared extremely interested in an upgrade to our table. Sadly for them, this particular cabin was full and there were definitely no leftovers being transferred to economy.
It was our first visit to Margate, staying with a friend who lives here, and evenings like this explain why people love the place. Relaxed, friendly, slightly quirky and with that wonderful British seaside atmosphere that you simply can’t manufacture.

Margate, you’ve definitely passed your first service assessment with flying colours. We’ll be requesting a return sector very soon.

作为曾经的头等舱空乘人员……我曾在世界各地不少相当高档的餐厅用餐，但一边从纸盒中取出炸鱼薯条食用，一边欣赏海面上缓缓落下的夕阳，这种体验实在别有一番韵味。无需繁琐的银器服务，也不用收起小桌板，对于机上的餐饮服务我更是毫无怨言！
当然，当地的海鸥们也在各自提供着高效便捷的“送餐服务”，它们似乎对我们这张“餐桌”也产生了浓厚兴趣。可惜的是……那个舱位已经坐满了，肯定没有任何空位能留给经济舱的乘客。
这是我们第一次来到马盖特，住在这里的一位朋友家里。像这样的夜晚正好说明了为何人们如此钟爱这个地方——氛围轻松、人们友善又带点古怪，还有那种无可比拟的英国海滨风情，是刻意营造不出来的。
美丽的日落、可爱的同伴、美味的炸鱼薯条，再加上耳边海浪的轻吟，真是完美的一晚。五星级的环境，却没有五星级的繁琐与客套。
马盖特，你们绝对出色地通过了首次服务评估。我们很快就会再次订购服务。
