点评:We were very pleasantly surprised. Somehow in all my trip research, I had not realized that the giant bison statue had any other attractions nearby. This was an awesome way for my kids (mine are tweens/teens) to get some energy out and start feeling a western vibe on our road trip! The frontier village leads directly to the giant bison. It's an easy, short walk and there are all kinds of exhibits/buildings for kids to explore. Suggested donation is very low and there's a box out for cash. The bathrooms were clean. Only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it's definitely old and feels a bit deserted, although in some ways, that added to the Old West village feeling. Seems like it had its heyday in the late 1980s or so? But a totally worthwhile stop with kids nonetheless with many fun photo ops, plus, the giant bison. We also got kuchen ("koogen") to try at the store and it tasted homemade and was very good! The store sells ice cream and I think some other snacks and has a gift area.
