点评:This is a small museum that gives a nice over view of Zambian history from prehistoric times to the present. My impression is that it was initially in tended to be a museum about the politics of Zambia, but upon the election of a new president the mission was expanded. The history itself is interesting. I, for one, did not appreciate how different Zambian history is from that of South Africa. Which is not to say that there were not similar struggles with the evils of european imperialism. Most of all, I enjoyed the narrative voice of the exhibits. I also recommend the Livingstone Museum, in Livingstone, where the narrative is even more striking. AND BONUS As a fan of the mockumentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop", I always do. Surprise, while the street markets have greater variety, the prices in the museums are generally as good or better than you will do in the markets, without the bargaining or hard sell. If you enjoy the bargaining game, you will enjoy the markets, but if you don't, the museum gift shops are a hidden gem.
