点评：Visited for 2nights as a family unit (44, 44, 19 and 19 years) and booked to stay at the Safari tent. We arrived 2 hours ahead of check in time but were allowed to enter early as the tent was ready. The tent was basic but had everything we needed. We brought blankets, camping chairs, disposable bbq's, kitchen utensils and washing up stuff - all of this is supplied so we really only needed sleeping bags, towels, clothes and food. We laughed both nights at the lack of light (no power for lamps or chargers in tent) so were all in bed by 10.30pm (4 tea lights were giving seance vibes and the midgies kept us indoors from 9pm onwards). Last toilet visit was 10.20pm with phone torches. The toilet and wash facilities were clean (but always with a layer of water on floor) and attended (in reception block). Castle Douglas is 10 mins drive away for a big Tesco or B&M. We spent 90 mins at the Giant Slide (Christopher attending) and 180 mins at the Climb experience (Andy attending). Both activities were explained, equipped and great fun. We all had a thoroughly fun day even if Christopher insisted on soaking us all with the freezing cold hose more than we thought we needed 🤣 Andy remained patient but encouraging to us squeelers when it came to heights. All staff throughout, were polite and welcoming and couldn't have helped any more. We'll definitely be back, but maybe try eco pods and loch based activities next.
