点评:The RIDICULOUS distance walking from train station. I can see it as we pull in ! then there are these signs breezily directing you on a dogleg of doglegs. Why can they not carve a little pedestrian entrance through all the construction work? These barriers have been erected with all the casual indifference and thoughtlessness to their users as a set of temporary traffic lights put up on a Thursday before an Easter weekend.
Why bother with all this faff with tickets? Queuing and fussing. Give it break will you.
Take a torch. The lighting into most of the carriages is non existent. The glass is grubby in places, so bright light is a must.
The trains were great and the exhibition excellent. Annoyed the Flying Scotsman wasn’t there though. Check first if planning ahead (which I hardly thought would be necessary)
Sorry, not sorry for this scathing review, but this indifference of the staff didn’t help placating it.
