Our trip to The Wilds in Ohio
The Wilds的点评
点评：We booked two nights and three days at The Wilds, a restful, beautiful, Midwest-friendly place in Ohio. It is a vast preserve and with a purpose for each of the animals and species.
We stayed in one of the luxury yurts. It was not luxury as in Hilton standards, but certainly novel and fun. It came with a coffee bar so we could make our early morning coffee and sit on our deck near the tree tops and listen to the woodland birds. We watched swans on the quiet river below us, and some of the herd animals that grazed and played in the open pastures below the yurts.
We chose the King Yurt package for my husband’s milestone birthday, and it included both breakfast and dinner.
The food was exceptional. And so was all of the friendly staff and very charming and knowledgeable tour guides.
Off season, we can’t speak of all the peak seasons activities, but we very much enjoyed the tours that were offered.
We are so proud of the “imagining minds” and the Columbus Zoo that brought all of this to Ohio and repurposed acres of land.
And everyone there loved the evening bonfire. It made for a friendly and interesting gathering of visitors from a wide mixture of states.
We loved our getaway at The Wilds.
