Best Mother’s Day gift ever!
The Wilds的点评
点评：My husband decided to splurge and we spent four nights Thursday through Sunday in a yurt at the wilds.
With the stay in the yurt, it included breakfast and dinner, an open air safari and a view from our deck of the Père David’s deer and Takin that couldn’t be believed. On Friday we did the open air safari which was a bus with no windows and many damaged sides from being hit by various animals. This tour was driven along the roads by all of the fields and paddocks.
The only animals we did not see on this tour were the giraffes as they are delicate and cannot be outside when it’s colder than 55 at night. We stopped at the carnivore center and saw cheetahs African painted dogs and dholes. We were chased by the male donkey named two step who did his mating dance next to the bus and brayed at us. We saw all three of the baby rhinos that have been born in the last nine months two of which were born in March. Ostriches tried to peck in the sides of the bus. This Tour was great but the one we took on Sunday the wild side tour was even better. In this one you were in a smaller converted truck and actually drove into the field and herd of animals not putting them in any danger. We got to see the baby rhinos up close the Pierre David deer mating call and two stops were made one in the rhino barn where we got to put a female rhino and one at the giraffe barn where we got to feed and pet giraffes. We will be back again probably next year!!! Peggy, Simon, Courtney, Carla and Christie were wonderful members of the staff and made our trip the best ever as I’ve already said!
