Wildside Tour and Wildnights at the Outpost
The Wilds的点评
点评：We loved the Wildside Tour. The close access to the animals, our guide's heartfelt stories of the animal's back stories and habits, and feeding the giraffes was wonderful.
We also stayed overnight in the tents at Wildnights at the Outpost. While the experience was unique and parts were great, it didn't live up to my expectations - especially given the price. Possibly this was just our experience but the animals were very far from us - you could barely see them without binoculars. In the morning one rhino did come by, close to our fence, to say hello which was a high point.
There were 2 guest tents (with 4 cots each) and one for the overnight guide. We cooked meals with the food they provided, using their large grill. That worked out fine and we were happy with the breakfast items we purchased. Just be aware that it's a rustic experience instead of a glamorous one - for example the coffee pot was missing and some of the buns were stale.
A few practical notes: there are outlets in the wooden pavilion so we were able to charge our phones. Be forewarned that the people who answer the phone had not been to the location so they had to ask others to answer detailed questions. Hopefully the Wilds will arrange a visit for them sometime in the future.
Overall the experience is unique and definitely worth doing - as long as you go in with realistic expectations.
