点评:This is an amazing venue especially for tourists from other places as it outlines many of the highlights of the State's first two hundred years. You can see this park several ways; walking down from your downtown hotel, on the Hop-on, Hop Off bus (recommended), or by public transportation. Although we did not ride the city bus here, they go by all the time. If you chose the city bus, it is very inexpensive and goes to most of the big venues in Nashville from the downtown transit station. There is a trick however to this option; when you download the app, you can only pay for ONE person when you get on the bus. So, this super inexpensive option, is a great way to see everything and avoid the rental car, but be sure everyone traveling has it on their phone and don't load a lot of money (like $10!). We chose the Hop-On, Hop Off bus which was $50 for the day (per person). We stayed at the Fairlane Hotel which is one block away from the downtown transit station. If you are reading this review and thinking that "these people are kinda cheap" it's really not like us. We are mostly Uber people or rent-a-car, but the bus from the airport was $1 all the way downtown (it's $2 normally, but December was half off). Having said all that, we saw this park twice in one day, driving by with the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus, and walking down the hill behind the state capitol. You should really plan to see this park as part of the Capitol experience (we did not go in the Capitol), the Veterans Memorial, and the Capitol Bicentennial Mall. Start at the top and go down the big hill behind the Capitol (there are stairs, but we just ran down the big hill). Going back up from the Mall there are three hotels very close by to this and the Transit Station; the DoubleTree, The Fairlane and Bobbys. Bobbys is super cool with Willie Nelson's Tour Bus on the roof (need reservations for dinner, but not drinks). The Double Tree's bar has regular food as opposed to over-priced everything at the other two hotels mentioned above. Walking back to our hotel from this mall was relatively easy (going down the hill is a LITTLE aggressive, but not bad). The Farmers' Market that is parallel to the Mall on the west side is a great choice for food. You can read the other reviews about what's on the Mall, but we spent about three hours here with a break for dinner and felt we barely got through it due to losing the December sunlight. A remarkable place and a great place to learn about Tennessee, best of all, it's free!
