点评:Do not let the title of my review fool you - you're not supposed to enjoy your visit here. It was everything it should be, emotive, moving, harrowing, and disturbing, and many more besides.
We took the train from Berlin, and a short cab ride from Oranienburg.
The entrance was free, and the audio guide was 3.50 euros. That was the only thing I'd prefer would be to be able to pay for the guide, but be able to use headphones.
I strongly recommend doing the audio tour if you're visiting independently. The one thing that really stood out for me was the sheer size of the place. even with various groups moving around, it never felt congested.
It's a tough visit though, listening to the accounts of what went on here, it wasn't just about persecution or imprisonment, it was about degradation too.
Honestly you could visit several times and still likely not be able to take all of the information in.
I've travelled for almost 30 years, and I think this is one of the toughest (to take) sites I've been to.
