Exceptionally clean, well located and an amazing breakfast buffet.

点评：My wife and I, daughter and son-in-law and our two friends all stayed at the Karl Johan Gate 33 on a bed and breakfast rate.
From check-in it became obvious that the hotel staff were very friendly.
We had rooms 333, 332 and 318 and all three were spotless, as was the hotel.
The facilities provided included a Nespresso machine with a few pods, coffee and tea sachets and sugar. There was no milk, but if you ask reception they will pour you some into a takeaway cup that you can store in the in-room fridge. There are hangers and a couple of storage shelves and a safe. There is a very comfy bed and a table and chair. The bathroom has toilet, sink and walk-in shower with oodles of hot water. No complaints whatsoever about the room.
Staying at the weekend, breakfast on Sunday was time ticketed to ensure you got a table, but to be honest there were plenty.
The restaurant itself is quite large and the food …… outstanding. From fresh fruit, to cereals, to cold meats, salad vegetables, to pancakes, to waffles, to sausages, bacon, patties, beans, potatoes and a great variety of egg, along with croissants, and the most delicious soft bread. Coffee, tea, fruit juices, water and energy shot drinks all in abundance. One of the best, if not the best buffet breakfast I have come across in my travels.
It is very close to Nationaltheatret Station by foot, approx. 5 mins, from where you can get a direct train to Oslo Airport. It is also no more than a 10-15 min walk to the City Hall and docks for the island hopping boats, boat saunas and electric boat tour. A little bit further, approx. 10 mins is the Oslo Central Station by foot.
The hotel is wonderful and if I ever return to Oslo I would not hesitate to book it again, not just for the inside of the hotel and its staff, but for the location as well.
