点评:Look at this excursion holistically. It can be so much more than just a visit to a ski museum. It’s a window into a different life. We rode the T train to the end Frognerseteren stop and walked down from there. The plan was to eat at the Frognerseteren restaurant but we arrived before they opened so we just followed the trail down the hill. There are signs but also look for blue trail markings on trees to help guide you.
It’s a pleasant downhill walk. As we were approaching the ski jump complex we saw what appeared to be a youth biathlon club training. It was one of those unexpected moments during travel that really opens your eyes - a lifestyle I had never seen before that was so wonderful. It’s August so they were on long skates and using their poles. Older athletes were also practicing their target shooting.
The museum itself was well done. Look at a visit to this museum as the whole experience of taking the train (a very scenic ride through beautiful neighborhoods), walking the trail, hopefully seeing some training at the facility, then exploring the museum- time well spent.
After our visit we continued walking downhill to the Holmenkollen train stop and took the train back up to the Frognerseteren stop to enjoy our lunch with a view. There is a cafe at the ski museum as well.
The museum entrance and transportation were included with the Oslo Pass.
