点评:This venue is small, but fascinating as it highlights the life of Sir Isaac Newton. This was his family's homestead and where the man developed the theory of light refraction as well as of gravity.
One must book a time to visit as there are a limited number of visitors who can go through at one time. Our guide was very thorough and gave the history behind the house as well as the life of Isaac.
The tour begins with a small film, and then a guided tour through the rooms in the house, including Isaac's bedroom.
It ends in the garden near the famous apple tree.
There is a clever scientific display in one of the outer buildings that presents several scientific theories with hands on devices for the curious learner. Great for kids learning science.
We are National Trust members via The Royal Oak foundation, so admittance was free. There is a parking lot across the road. A Cafe is on the property as well as a small gift shop.
Lovely location, and they have their own small herd of sheep on the property.
