Salzburg major disappointment

点评：Out of all of the places we went to from Bruges in Belgium ending finally in Vienna, Salzburg was the major disappointment. We actually had planned on staying there longer and left early. It’s a big dirty city. That historic area is very small not a place to plan to stay at all. I think the kicker was being across on the other side of the river at the foot bridge and looking out and seeing neon lights at night in the historic area . Almost a culture shock coming from all the quaint little towns and beautiful places we had stayed in Bavaria. As well as being delighted with Colmar in France. Driving to Salzburg I kept thinking there would be an exit off the Audubon and a journey to get to it but it is right off and in the middle of the Audubon like you are just in a big busy city. In the evening we walked around went over the foot bridge. There were groups of young people hanging out. I would say the only place we were that I felt a little uncomfortable walking around at night. I thought it was going to be small yes but very picturesque. This is not a place to stay. Stay somewhere lovely so many places in Austria to go come there as an afternoon day trip. Vienna was expected to be a large city and it was beautiful lovely to stay in and beautiful to walk around in —Salzburg well if you skip it off your itinerary, you haven’t missed much.
