WWT Caerlaverock Wetland Centre的点评
点评：Whilst on a few days break near Newton Stewart we decided to drive to Caerlaverock WWT, as we are members. So we drove all the way there, and drove down the small single track lane, to be met with a locked gate and a sign stating currently closed.
Upon returning to civilisation where we could get a signal, we checked online and it stated that due to staffing issues they had been closed for some time.
Yes, we could possibly have checked before setting off, but, apart from the obvious issue that not only did we have zero phone signal and zero radio signal, we have never found a nature reserve to be simply closed.
To add insult to injury, it was difficult to turn the car around at the closed gate, as the track turned into a quagmire so we managed to do a 15 point turn.
Hint to WWT staff. PUT A BLOODY SIGN AT THE END OF YOUR SINGLE TRACK LANE STATING CLOSED!!!
