点评:When you arrive to this waterfall area, the only way you would know where it is is a covered sign that has fliers posted up, it is not nearly as well marked as Looking Glass Falls, but you will likely see cars parked along the sides of the road.
There is no admission fee to park or visit the falls. You can walk behindthe waterfall relatively easily, though you will have to climb on rocks so proper shoes would be recommended. I did see some people doing it with flip flips or barefooted, but that seemed a bit iffy. This particular falls doesn't really allow for swimming per se, as it is not deep and the runoff has a lot of rocks, but you can get wet under the falls. There area at the head of the trail does have water that is deep enough for a dip, though at the time I visited, it seemed like it may have been 3 feet at most.
My visit was with a friend. I was the much less conditioned of the two of us, and this was a DIFFICULT hike for me as a very inexperienced hiker. It definitely seemed like a much longer walk than advertised, in large part because of how much elevation gain there was. I had not eaten or brought any water with me, and I think had I done either of those, the hike would've been a lot better. I come from a plains-state, so the elevation and my lack of practice hiking definitely contributed to the difficulty. Our visit probably took around an hour and a half; there were others who may have had better conditioning who seemed to make it there and back within 20-30 minutes. The crowd when I went on a weekday during the school break was around 20-30 people, and the area is relatively small so it felt like that was a lot of people. There were no staff people present that I could tell. I recommend bringing hiking poles if you are older, inexperienced, or from a flat place, as well as bringing water, a towel, hiking or athletic shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and having hiking snacks available. There are a lot of trees and cover, so it is pretty shady. The trail is pretty well maintained, though if it rains, it may be a muddy path and could become slippery. If you have a tough time with the hike like I did, I recommend regular breaks/pauses, and spending a while at the falls to regain some energy.
