点评：I’m a local tour guide and I just wanna tell you a little bit about why this experience is so special! I’ve done this several times and it is a place that really sparks joy and scratches an itch for history buffs like no other!
Imagine traversing down the same path that bootleggers and smugglers hauled contraband into the city in the dark of night!
Imagine being L. Frank Baum the author of Wizard of Oz and saying “Hey, this reminds me of the Force Cereal, Sunny Jim’s character profile!”
The last time I was there last Friday with some of my friends, there were 3 sea lions in the cave taking a siesta on the rocks just outside the viewing platform. One was barking like a baby in a bathtub with his voice echoing throughout the cave walls.
Other times I’ve gone and the dramatic waves crashing on the rocks really make you appreciate the challenges those bootleggers must have endured at times! I bet it was pretty sketchy for them, especially in the dark!
PRO TIP: Take off your hat or you might find out why the hard way 🪨😬
And don’t even get me started on their super cool gift shop! Great selections for souvenirs and I even picked up some tools for my tours there as well. I’ll be returning there soon as I got my eye on a couple of gifts for some upcoming friends’ birthdays 😍
