点评：We visited Pemba Island at the back end of a safari to Tanzania and stayed at Afro Divers for a few days. The entire experience was excellent. Michael and Carlotta (owners) are lovely people, and the staff they’ve chosen are cut from the same cloth. Everyone from the wait staff to the dive team really could not have been any more gracious. Very laid back vibe, great food and nice accommodations, with a pool and $50 massages. Pemba Island has not, as of yet anyway, been overrun with tourists and off-island commerce so it’s a place of simplicity and beauty. The diving was really good. The reefs are vibrant and teeming with colorful fish, moray eels, grouper, etc. Nice to see them thriving when reefs are generally in decline in many parts of the world. Also kinda fun to dive from a Zodiac instead of a big boat. No frills but a super nice crew of guys with solid equipment if you don’t want to lug your own gear (not practical for us). Highly recommend! They would see a lot more of us if we lived within a reasonable radius for travel purposes.
