点评:We were really looking forward to this trip to Uganda, whicb was meant to be the trip of a lifetime, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing due to multiple issues with the itinerary and poor ongoing communication.
Information before the trip was incorrect - specifically around journey times and activity lengths - examples being a 6 hour transfer was actually 12 hr (and could never have been 6 hours) and a half day rafting was 1 hour. Information from the driver was non existent regarding activities and there was little interaction from him throughout which made journeys awkward and unpleasant. We feel that we were unlucky with our driver as we saw many other drivers on our travels, both from Dav as well as other companies, who were providing a totally different experience.
We had complained to Dav who gave the driver 2 days to improve or ge would be replaced, minimal improvements were made, however this reverted back - if not worse than before by the end of the holiday.
Uganda itself is beautiful, and thankfully we had magical experiences with the chimpanzees and gorillas, and saw the tree climbing lions, so we at least achieved what we came for, but the organization, communication and coordination left it far from the holiday we had hoped for.
Dav did, however, manage to get my Kindle that I had left under a pillow at one hotel sent to a hotel further along the route for which I am super grateful.
My advice would be to read the reviews and request a driver who is mentioned a lot for their service and also Google maps any journey times on your itinerary to ensure they are correct before committing yourselves. Going through the itinerary with the driver at the start would also be beneficial and may highlight any possible discrepancies.
