点评：I booked the north Cyprus trip. It’s not until you arrive that you discover all trips have planned departures of 8am! With some holiday destinations starting at 6am! The gourmet meal option is totally misleading as you are paying for a basic evening meal. Which in the case of the 2 hotels we stayed at was a barely luke warm buffet served on even colder plates.
The hard sell described by others is more being hit over the head by a sledge hammer. I asked out of curiosity the cost of a lion Turkish rug. I was then taken away from the group into a separate room. After haggling we agreed £6200 for a rug. Then a smaller rug was produced and talking around me it was suggested that if I paid ££11K for both rugs it would be an excellent price. Next was the jewellers. Again I asked out of curiosity how an expanded ring worked. Same procedure. They bartered the ring I was taken in with down to £5.4K I explained I could not afford the ring, that I was spending, what monies I had, on the rug. Then quite bizarrely a gold bangle was produced and I was told if I bought the bangle the ring would be free. Price of the bangle £19K! At the leather outlet I decided to buy a jacket for my daughter. I was unaware that you are meant to barter a reduction of 30-40%. So agreed £700. ( which in reality is way over priced,)Then they insisted I bought a jacket for myself, that I could share with my other daughter. They continued to reduce the price to £420 which I was told such a price had never been offered before! I saw something similar for sale on eBay. £27 ono which went unsold.
I did manage to cancel the rug, because other than saying they paid all import duty they would not specify the amount which is 8% tax and 20% vat. Which would be £1,736.

我最终还是取消了地毯的订单，因为除了说他们已经支付了所有进口关税之外，他们拒绝透露具体金额，而实际上关税是8%的税和20%的增值税。那就是1736英镑。
