Dangerous- We should have gone with an international company!

点评：Despite booking 9+ months in advance we found ourselves with a guide who did not speak English whilst we did not speak Spanish. There was no option to change the trip in any way so that we could go with an English speaking guide. The walking peak was very enjoyable, and the area was beautiful.
However, for the ascent of Alpamayo our guide gave no instruction of how we were to travel over the glacier or deal with the cravasse hazard. My partner became audibly scared and tired, which was completely ignored by the guide who was the whole time intent on carrying on up Alpamayo, rather than considering whether this was a good idea.
As we transferred to Huayana Potosi we had the bizarre experience of lunch in a garage. Our guide for Potosi was better, but the altitude prevented us summiting.
At the time of booking we thought it was a good thing to be using a local company, but on reflection an international company with robust service and safety standards would have been a much better decision!
