Ice Hockey Game

点评：We came to the Danaubad complex to watch the Ulm Devils play ice hockey. This is a local team so expect a local experience if you plan on attending a game here. They do have a VIP area, two cheering sections for the local team and one cheering section for the away team. When we watched the visiting team Schweinfurt Mighty Dogs was dominating the game and the fans were very spirited so we were glad we were away from them. The men's washroom got plastered with the away team stickers so this seemed liked an interesting fan tradition.
The rink sold sausage, beer and team merchandise. This is a smaller market team and nothing like a DEL game (we attended Munchen Red Bull a couple of days before) but we felt it was a good game day experience. They had a pre game show, their Devils mascot and even some younger players who came out between periods to have a short game.
We bought tickets later in the day for 11.50 Euros each thinking we had the furthest seats from the rink but it turns out this was a section to lean against the railing just above the seats. It was nice having a reserved spot but we would have liked spending a couple of extra euros to be seated.
If you enjoy hockey and are looking for something to do this might be a fun experience. We did get some photos with the mascot which will make for a nice memory but would only recommend this experience if it is convenient and there is a love for the game. We were interested in using the thermal baths too but maybe some other time.
We had walked her from the Munsterplatz area with a couple of stops along the way. There was a bit of construction along the way and closed paths so it might just be worth taking the bus out here especially if the weather is not good or you are short on time. The parking lot was large and there were lots of spots. We were surprised with how many fans attended the game because that place was packed despite it being a regular season game.
