点评：Our multi-day stay at Hipparion left a lasting impression. After countless rides at ranches around the world, what struck us here was the combination of experience, dedication and attention to detail. Everything reflects authenticity and a sincere respect for nature and the horses.
One telling detail: the tack room surpassed every other we have ever seen — by far the cleanest and best maintained. That same care and dedication runs through every aspect of the stay.
Katrin, the owner, accompanied us on our private rides. She consistently struck a thoughtful balance between attentive presence, safe guidance and discretion. In such a remote setting, on horseback and with all the unpredictability of animals and nature, her experience gave us confidence and peace of mind. At the same time, she gave us ample space to enjoy each other’s company and the landscape. Our rides felt intimate and romantic, thanks in no small part to her unobtrusive guidance. A particularly thoughtful and subtle form of hospitality.
The accommodation radiated warmth, intimacy and cosiness. Returning after a day in the saddle felt like coming home. The local cooking was quite simply finger-licking good — full of flavour and wonderfully varied, with an impressively generous selection at the breakfast buffet too. Such quality deserves even greater appreciation when you consider the remoteness of the ranch and the effort and organisation behind everything that arrives at the table.
Over successive days on horseback, the sheer scale and isolation of our surroundings truly sank in. Vast landscapes and profound silence, sometimes beneath a light dusting of snow, sometimes shrouded in mysterious mist. That sense of remoteness gave our rides an almost otherworldly beauty.
Our heartfelt thanks to Katrin and everyone at Hipparion. Your knowledge, dedication and love for this place shine through in the smallest details. We left with wonderful memories and deep admiration for everything you accomplish here every day.
