Not “just a ghost tour”

点评：As a local to Dumfries, I had been in the Crichton Church many times, however had never seen any of the crypt or undercroft spaces, and didn’t know a great deal of its history. I’ve been considering booking the tour for years and wasn’t sure incase it was just all ghost stories, until I spoke to someone who told me how much history is included.
The Mostly Ghostly team have so much knowledge on not just the history of the church, but the whole Crichton Estate and other related local areas. I was really impressed by how well they could get this information across in a way that both us locals, and visitors, could appreciate.
There were some stories of unexplained happenings, which you are encouraged to make your own conclusions about, and some members of the group felt that they experienced feelings of a presence in one area of the tour, but it’s definitely not “just a ghost tour”.
I would highly recommend this tour, and I’m definitely going to be looking to join another Mostly Ghostly experience soon. Thanks again to Kathleen, John & Mary for taking so much time to explain things and answer all our questions about such a magnificent space.
