The Best Way to Experience the Everglades

点评：For me Everglades National Park is one of my favorite parks because there are some many different things to see here. There are also so many ways to experience it. You can kayak, bike or ride an airboat, but one of the best things to do is a "Wet Walk" where you simply walk into the Everglades with no trail. The only way to do this is by booking an experience with the Everglades Institute before you go.
I recently visited Everglades National Park with 4 other couples and my wife. When I told them before going that we would simply walk into the Everglades with no trail, they thought I was crazy. After we finished it, everyone said this was their favorite activity we did on the entire trip.
You book a two-hour trip that includes just over an hour walking in the park with the remainder your car ride to and from the site from the Coe VC. You have to wear close toed shoes as your foot can sink ankle deep in mud and the can walk knee deep in water. Be sure to wear shoes you can tightly tie as one member wore slip-ons that she lost in the mud.
Our guide Albert was great, and he took us to cypress dome not far off the main road called Double Dome. After parking the van on the side of the road, we just walked in. The beginning close to the road with fewer trees was actually the hard place to walk as the mud here was the thickest. As you approached the dome, the trees got taller and there were more roots to the support you. However, it was here the water got deeper. We hiked around the dome and enjoyed the flora and fauna. The cypress were impressive, but the bromeliads were incredible. We also so much wildlife, birds of all types, especially ibis and spoonbills, as well as a couple of 7' alligators living in the dome.
It was an incredible experience and simply the best way to experience the Everglades. Everyone loved it.

这是一次令人难以置信的体验，也是体验大沼泽地国家公园的最佳方式。大家都非常喜欢。
