点评:I went on a 10-day tour in Uganda with them. Coleb was very responsive during the planning and very professional. However, I believe the tour was not good value, mainly because of the hotels. Even in the basic category, we experienced extremely low water pressure (drops of water?!), no hot water, very limited food choices, bats nesting in the room
The guide assigned to us made the trip more difficult. His name was Gary Simon.
Gary was an excellent driver but a very poor guide for the following reasons:
_He did not proactively inform clients about the itinerary or activities. Even when asked, he provided minimal information. For example, he did not mention that a mask was required for monkey tracking. He texted us at around 22:00 the previous night to bring passport copies for gorilla trekking, while staying at a hotel where Wi-Fi was only available at the reception. Luckily, we were there at the time.
_He was unwilling to share cultural information during the drives and remained silent unless directly asked.
_After reaching the hotels, he was physically disappearing and was only available via WhatsApp.
_He was not attentive. For example, we were asked whether the food was ok for the first time on day eight, and only after we complained to Coleb.
_When problems arose;such as insufficient food, incorrect orders, long delays at the receptions, bats in the room, or a camera with a bright beam pointing directly into the room,he did not help at all. In one instance, he replied on WhatsApp: “This is Africa.”
