One of our best excursion experiences ever!

点评：We had a fantastic experience doing the one-night aurora tour with Robin! He was a fantastic guide in every possible way: drove us (group of six) safely to a great site, told us what to expect and how to stay warm, kept an eye on the skies and told us where to look, built and maintained a great campfire, and took incredible photos of both the auroras themselves and multiple shots of each of us in the group. I'm so grateful for those photos because I definitely wouldn't have such incredible pictures of me and my husband in front of the aurora otherwise. Think of what poses you want to do in advance because there's lots of opportunities for different photos!
We were very lucky in not having to drive more than 20 minutes or so. Earlier in the evening it seemed like it was very overcast so we were kind of despairing of seeing any lights. We've never been happier to be so wrong because it turned out to a spectacular night for viewing with auroras moving overhead almost non-stop. I was worried the bonfire would affect our night vision but it really wasn't an issue at all.
I'll emphasize again how great it was to have someone else taking professional-level photos. It was COLD (-29C/-20F) the night we were out so it was very difficult to comfortably take photos. Upon looking at mine on a computer screen, they're mostly super blurry and would've been more or less a complete loss without Robin's pictures. He also got the download link to us so fast--the very next night!
Tip: make sure you use the facilities before you go on this tour. I'm sure there must be some option if you really need to go urgently, but I'm not sure what that would be as we were in the middle of nowhere in the freezing cold and you're wearing half a dozen layers including the very warm jumpsuit they provide you.
Don't hesitate to book this tour. It was worth every penny!
