A scam and just sad: do not support this place
Living Shores Aquarium的点评
点评：I should have known better as this place is right next to Storyland, but this is totally a tourist trap. Tickets are $27.99??!!?? And parking is $12.
This place is in a tiny, windowless commercial building.
This place is unclean and smells. They had turtles just “out” like fully on the ground with a 3 inch raised wall to keep them in. No attendants watching to make sure people and kids don’t mess with the turtles. I could easily have just picked up and turtle and left.
The animal’s enclosures were way, way too small. They had a Florida Soft shell turtle in a standard fish tank. They had a MASSIVE Reticulated Python in a tank about 1 1/2 ft x 6 ft. He had no place to hide or nest, he was just sitting in a plastic bin in the corner not moving. All of the animals were visibly lethargic.
And they have four touch tanks with no attendants. People were “petting” the sting rays with nobody watching so obviously they were not following proper protocol (like two finger touch and let THEM come to YOU) They had massive hermit crabs, horse shoe crabs, fish, star fish, sea urchins and multiple kinds of rays in touch tanks throughout the room with either no attendant or two young teen attendants just talking next to it.
The enclosures were dirty, didn’t have proper enrichment and again, were so small.
It’s so sad because I was really excited to visit this aquarium on my trip. But me and my friends just ended up leaving very sad.
TDLR: This place is a scam: way too expensive, super tiny, clear animal mistreatment.
This place needs to be shut down.
Please, please do not go and support this place.
I want my money back and I want those poor animals to be relocated.
BTW: I already reported this place to PETA but they said that they regrettably couldn’t do anything.

此外，那里还有四个触摸池，却没有任何工作人员在场。人们在没有人监视的情况下“抚摸”海鲢，显然他们并没有遵循正确的互动规程（比如只用两根手指轻触，然后让海鲢主动靠近你）。整个房间里设有多个触摸池，里面养着体型巨大的寄居蟹、鲎、各种鱼类、海星、海胆以及多种海鲢；这些池子要么没有任何工作人员看管，要么只有两名十几岁的青少年工作人员在旁边聊天。那些饲养池又脏又小，也没有提供适当的环境丰容设施。真是令人难过，因为我原本对这次旅行中能参观这个水族馆满怀期待。但最后我和朋友们只能带着满心伤感离开。
总结：这个地方就是个骗局——价格贵得离谱、场馆极其狭小，还存在明显的虐待动物的现象。
这个地方应该被关停。
求求大家，千万别去光顾或支持这个地方。
我希望能拿回自己的钱，也希望那些可怜的动物能被妥善安置。
