点评:1st and foremost, an eternal shout out to the wonderful saint of a person who found my phone in the snow in the dark and handed it in, and also the incredibly kind Ice Village staff who brought it over to my accommodation once it was handed in and declined to take any money from me as a crude token of thanks.
Nice little outing worth a visit with the family after day of skiing. Opens 5-10pm. We took the shuttle bus from our accommodation and got off at hoshinare tomamu. Needs cash notes for the entry tickets that is sold via a vending machine. The attendant only validates the tickets and doesn't handle transactions. Our accommodation reception sold the tickets too and would have been better to have pre-purchased them. The path to the Ice Village is outdoors in the dark but reasonably well lit pretty path in the snow. A slide made of ice leads into the village carved out of ice with shops for snacks and marshmallows on sticks to roast on the open fires. Also a bar for those inclined for a drink or cold ramen on barstools made of blocks of ice.
Fascinating little place.
