点评：Our time in Nashik was one of the most peaceful parts of the entire pilgrimage. The evening at Ramkund and the Godavari river was especially memorable, with the soft sound of aarti, the glow of the lamps, and the calm devotional atmosphere all around. The deep daan added a beautiful touch to the experience, as the floating diyas on the river created a quiet and deeply moving scene.
What made the evening even more special was the sense of tradition and faith that filled the place. The Godavari riverfront felt alive with devotion, yet very serene at the same time. It was not just a visit, but a moment to pause, reflect, and feel grateful.
Kalaram Mandir in Panchvati was another highlight of the Nashik visit. The temple has a strong historical and spiritual presence, and the black idol of Lord Ram gives it a distinct identity. The temple’s connection with Ramayana-era memories, along with its place in India’s social history, makes it much more than a regular temple visit. Walking through Panchvati and seeing Kalaram Mandir slowly gave the trip a deeper meaning.
We also saw that Nashik is preparing well for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, and that gives the city an added sense of importance. There is both movement and devotion in the air, and it feels like a sacred city getting ready for something very special.
If you are visiting Nashik, I would strongly recommend spending your evening at the Godavari for aarti and deep daan, and then visiting Kalaram Mandir at a relaxed pace. The combination of river, temple, and history makes the experience truly memorable.
