点评：We had a marvellous experience climbing Pico with our guide Nilton! He gave us a frank and helpful briefing before we set out in our group of 10 (mostly couples, from all over the world). Nilton was careful to ensure every member of the group felt comfortable and set a pace manageable for all.
We were lucky to enjoy a clear sky on the way up, rising above an ocean of clouds. Nilton was patient with my endless stream of questions and was happy to help me sate my curiosity with his knowledge of the mountain's history and geology.
The sky on the way down was...less clear shall we say? More along the lines of sideways rain and dense fog. I personally was delighted to gain the experience of what it must be like to be a cloud. My findings to report: wet and rather blowy. But in all seriousness Nilton was great at keeping everyone's spirits up and ensuring we descending safely over the wet rocks.
I wholeheartedly recommend Hominis Natura to anyone excited to summit Pico! They'll ensure you're equipped to handle the mountain and lead you on your way to some amazing views!
