Saint Nicholas Cathedral- a reconstructed landmark

点评：There are lots of beautiful buildings in the Manor that are replicas of Russian architecture. Among them, Saint Nicholas Cathedral is most iconic one.
The original structure stood in the square in front of Harbin Railway Station. Completed in 1900, it featured a traditional Russian architectural style characterized by a wooden structure with a tent-like roof. It was once an iconic church in Harbin. Tragically, the building was demolished in 1966 during the period of Cultural Revolution.
The current structure is a reconstruction built in 2006 at the Volga Manor resort. Russian architects faithfully recreated it at a 1:1 scale, according to the original blueprints, Russian building materials, and traditional construction techniques.
Old photographs reveal that the roof of the reconstructed building was a dignified, elegant grayish-blue, like that of the original church. It was later changed to green. While the new color is more vibrant and striking, it deviates from the original design, which is somewhat regrettable.
