点评：I along with 4 guests did an 8 day trip in July to the southern part of Gwaii Haanas. This was top on my bucket list for 30 years. Though this started off with a huge shock for me when the airline lost my luggage with all my warm clothes. But our guide/owner Rob loaned me some proper warm clothes, which was a great relief. He also worked his magic and rallied the support of Morex (the local support team) to get my clothes delivered during the trip. Rob and Hailey were eager to show us the best spots and experience, as they would have to friends. This trip has it all: we saw humpbacks, seals, sea lions, and a hugh rainbow up close. We also saw horned and tufted puffins that are rather rare for this area. We saw tons of sea lifes -crabs, urchins, sea cucumbers, at Burnaby Narrows at low tide. The varieties of sea weeds there was mind boggling. The visit to the Haida Village and the Culturally Modified Tree (CMT) were also very interesting. As I was the only fisherman on this trip, Rob took me to his best fishing spot and I caught several big rock fish in record time. We also have enjoyed some well prepared, freshly cooked meals with proteins and lots of fresh vegetables.
