Great Course, but not worth green fees if play is so slow, people give up halfway through. Play early. Play off-season!!

点评：Before I start to get too down on Tecina Golf, I’ll say that I love the course itself. The catering there and the waiting staff are really good.
I’ve played here twice before and really enjoyed it, but played it again last month and pace of play has to be addressed as it made for a frankly miserable round.
Like another reviewer, I too, was barked at by the starter for, admittedly, being a few mins late for my tee time. However, the group in front of me we were waiting to tee off, the group in front of them were half way down the fairway and the group in front of them on the green.
That set the tone with interminable delays waiting for the groups in front and such that by the time I teed off on 12, I’d already been playing for 3 and 3/4 hours and I just couldn’t face any more waiting and the prospect of literally a 6 hour round. So I gave up and went in.
It wasn’t just me. The lovely German couple and their Swiss friend behind me were complaining in the pro shop after they also walked in and they commented that much of this has been caused by sending groups out every 8 minutes to try and cram as many groups through as possible.
Would I play here again? Most definitely as, like I said at the start, I really love the course, but I would certainly be going out as early as possible and in off—season should I be here in future.
