点评:We visited this place for the first time when my brother and his wife came to see us from Japan. That was my sister-in-law's first time to Australia and we stayed at the Gold Coast for two nights and we took them there to take a koala photo and see the Australian animals.
I purchased the tickets through RACQ and printed out the tickets I received on their website. When we got there, I wasn't sure what I needed to do with the tickets, so I walked to the gate to ask the staff there. When we passed the ticket booth, one of the staff came out of the booth and yelled at me to line up. I was shocked and explained that I had the tickets purchased through RACQ and was going to ask the staff at the entrance gate. The staff yelled at me again 'You need to redeem the tickets at the booth where everyone is lining up. You need to line up!!' I got scared as she was emotional. Why couldn't she explain calmly as I just wasn't sure what to do with the tickets?
After we redeemed our tickets, we went to the koala photo place, there were no customers in front of us. I was informed at the ticket counter that we could take photos with our mobile phones as well. However, holding a koala was just for a few seconds while the staff took a photo. While I was trying to take a photo with my phone, a staff member (old lady) grabbed my arm and forced to move. She told me that I couldn't take a photo but I said I was informed by the staff that I could, but she said NO! We paid for approx $100 to hold a koala and take a photo but it ended after a few seconds and it was a complete rip off. Also, I was so uncomfortable that the female staff grabbed my arm physically and treated me like a stupid tourist.
We took them to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary when we returned to Brisbane to hold a koala and take a photo again as we wanted to make a better memory for them. They were able to take plenty of photos with their mobile phones and the staff let us even take a photo of them standing together with a koala! The staff at Lone Pine were so friendly.
In addition, we watched the bird show but it wasn't very educational compared to the one at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
