Worth a visit but go prepared!
Mandraki Beach的点评
点评：We walked from Hydra harbour to Mandraki early one morning intending to spend the day at the beach. It’s a 20 minute walk. You could choose to take one of the regular boats which shuttle back and forth but the walk is lovely and takes you past the Sun sculpture which is beautiful. The beach is divided in two - one half served by a taverna and the other half belonging to the Mandraki beach resort. As it was early in the season we discovered the taverna does not open until midday. So in need of refreshments we decided to try the resort end of the beach. We were made very welcome by the staff. It was clear the hotel had very few guests at that time. We had breakfast in the outside seating area which was lovely and then took the plunge and rented sun-beds for the day. It’s not cheap for sure. Beds ranged between 30-40 euros each depending on their position. Towels and iced water were provided and the waiting staff were very attentive throughout the day bringing drinks and food as ordered. As others have noted beach shoes are a must if you want to swim as in spite of the sand there is still a good amount of shingle about. We had a very peaceful day but I guess had we known in advance about the tavernas opening hours we would have gone later in the day and had food and rented a bed from there for far less. Nevertheless it was indeed a treat!
