If you come unprepared, you could be disappointed!
帕台农神庙（巴特农神庙）的点评
点评：Acropolis is still probably the most important place to visit in Athens from the point of history of civilization. it is also great that on the way up one can see also two amphitheaters (including the first ever dramatic theater) and the Mars Hill (Apostle Paul's sermons, remember?) But the negative reviews on TA make it clear that, in terms of safety and service, Acropolis is very disorganized.
I doubt that Greeks will change their ways ; )) so the solution is to come there prepared and self-reliant: you need to have water bottles, watch for pickpockets and learn in advance all the details, from its history (that's why you are coming, right?) to the ticket prices and entrance points. I took one star off because for one elderly member of my family it turned out to be impossible to walk on stones so much all the way up, and when the box office and security staff saw we left her at the entrance, they did not even mention to us that there was an elevator for handicapped people (we did not see any signs either). That's a really poor service!
Parthenon itself could be a little disappointing because not only it is completely hollowed-out inside and has no roof, but also a modern construction equipment is installed inside. And you should not miss seeing the very first caryatids (on another building) - they ARE beautiful and gracious!
Lack of material evidence is compensated by excellent bird-views of Athens, so the photos will be great!
