点评:The Acropolis was easily the highlight of our Athens visit. We visited after spending some time in the Acropolis Museum, and that made a huge difference because you appreciate the history and details so much more once you walk around the actual site.
The climb up was not too difficult, though the marble can get slippery, so comfortable shoes are definitely worth it. The moment you reach the top and see the Parthenon up close is genuinely unforgettable. No matter how many photos you’ve seen before, it still feels surreal standing there in person.
What I loved most was the atmosphere — ancient ruins all around, panoramic views over Athens, and the contrast between modern city life below and this incredible piece of history above. We stayed longer than expected just soaking in the views and taking everything in.
If possible, I’d recommend visiting later in the afternoon for better light and slightly fewer crowds. Definitely worth booking tickets in advance. A place that truly lives up to the hype.
