点评：I strongly advise against booking with Costa Rica Xploring or its owner, Kevin Valverde Rodriguez. My experience resulted in a $300 loss and zero service provided.
(Note For some odd reason, there are very few negative reviews for this business here in Tripadvisor. If you don't trust mine, I recommend you visit the reviews in Google Maps)
Key Issues:
- No-Show & Theft: We paid $300 upfront for a boat service. On the day of the trip, no one showed up. Despite multiple promises to refund the money, Kevin has since disappeared with our payment.
- Dishonest Excuses: When confronted, Kevin claimed a family tragedy prevented the service. We verified through local contacts (including his own family) that this story was entirely fabricated.
- False Affiliations: Kevin claims to work with local resorts, specifically the Four Seasons. I verified this directly with the Four Seasons management, who confirmed they have no affiliation with him and warned that he operates on the public beach adjacent to their property.
It is disappointing to see this kind of behavior in a country known for such incredible hospitality. Save your money and book through official resort concierges or verified tour operators instead.
