点评：I can’t comment on other rental companies in Namibia but we chose to rent a 4x4 from Melbic for 21 days to tour the country from Windhoek to Sesriem, Swakopmund, Etosha and beyond. 2,800km in total.
We chose to have the hard-top roof tent, it was perfect for 2 people an d we were never cold in the night. It was so easy to put up and take down single-handed and after the first fee times I had it down to under 3 minutes.
The camping equipment, bedding etc was all we needed and we realised we needn’t have worries and should have just brought clothes not extra camping items as everything we needed was included.
The car behaved itself perfectly and the excellent instructions we received at pickup came in handy when we got caught in a sandstorm driving the skeleton coast. We simply reduced the tyre pressures an FB drove off road in low gear around the drifting sands then inflated the tyres again with the compressor supplied. We really felt we were in an adventure!
On return the Handover was smooth and the whole experience was professional. I wouldn’t rent from anyone else if I came again and thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to tour this amazing country.
