Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company and Museum的点评
点评：The Narrow Gauge Train Ride in Portland, Main, was a huge disappointment. It is advertised as a 40-minute round trip along the waterfront complete with narration. That part is true – to a point. The train itself is charming, but the trip is one of those “is-that-all-there-is” experiences: a straight shot down the waterfront with a bit of background on the scenery (about 15 minutes), a stop at the end of the line with the opportunity to get off the train and enjoy the view (another 12 minutes or so), followed by a straight-line back-up to return to the station (another 15 minutes). Since the outbound route covered all there was to see and say about the area, the return narration was simply the history of narrow gauge rail development in Portland. Considering the expense (It wasn’t cheap!), we expected more. We loved everything else about Portland – the train ride, not so much!
