How to get to Totoro Forest using public transport

点评：Totoro forest is a very quiet place in Itoshima. Most will drive or take a tour to reach the place. It is also possible to take a bus to get there.
Take a train from Tenjin or Hakata to JR Chikuzen Maebaru station. Use the North exit to get to the bus stop. Take Showa bus 26 Keya route to get to Keya Kobaiten bus stop. The bus journey will take about 20min and cost 200 yen (cash). IC cards are not accepted and prepare the exact amount to pay into the cash box. Then it is a 10 minute walk to the site. The reverse route on bus 26 will get one back to the JR station.
This is a very isolated place so knowing the bus schedule is very important. Do note that the timing for weekdays and weekends may differ.
This is a good place to take landscape photographs on a sunny day. This is a park so there is no entrance fee. If the weather is bad, there is little shelter available for protection.
