Along the way, he shared fascinating insights about Sri Lanka’s nature, culture, and wildlife, and was always happy to stop at local places for delicious food that we otherwise would have missed.
His English is excellent, and our conversations went far beyond the usual holiday small talk. We had some really interesting discussions about everyday life, culture, and even current world affairs, which made the journeys just as enjoyable as the destinations.
Whenever we passed somewhere worth seeing, Michael would always offer to stop and wait for us, ensuring we got the most out of every moment of our trip. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
