点评：We booked a private sunrise kayak for two and it was AMAZING. The guide, Lakith (Lucky to his friends) is lovely, his home and base for the kayaking is gorgeous and full of toys, from quad bikes to a range of great quality kayaks. We started at 0530 so after a tea and coffee, the kayaking starts a very short walk from the base down to the sheltered lagoon. Being only 2-3ft deep the lagoon is really safe for kayaking as you could easily stand up in the water if necessary, it is also protected from the swell and windier conditions of the ocean as it is enclosed and wrapped by mangrove trees. The trip is around 2-3 hours of very chilled and easy paddling, the secret river and winding through the mangroves was a real highlight. The secret river meanders away from the brackish lagoon until it becomes a fresh water river next to rice paddies. Lakith spots and recognises interesting wildlife as you paddle, from water monitors to kingfishers and eagles, lilies and lotus plants. We stopped on the banks where kombucha (lakith’s dog) played with a couple of cows whilst we had a picnic of fruit and crackers before paddling back to base. Truly a magical morning not to be missed. We will be back for more!!
