点评：Shallow water, you need to wade out at least 75metres to get your shorts wet. Easy entry. Beach is covered with sunbeds run by the tavernas (and so the international sunbed scandal goes on). Charges are scandalous, beach is not cleaned thoroughly by the tavernas, they claim they are offering a service! Sorry but I do not want to eat food on a dirty beach or on a dirty sunbed. I go in for food and drink. I don’t want an umbrella that I cannot move. Some sunbeds were €30 per set and so close together that I could hear the people next to me ‘pass wind’ and breathe in their cigarette smoke. What was very worrying was that there were hundreds more sunbeds which were stacked away because it was the end of season.
We saw people arriving for a sunbed at the end of the afternoon being charged full price, no half day price or reduced rate.
It would be interesting to know how many sunbeds these places were licensed to have as opposed to the number they were charging for.
In order to use sunbeds for a typical holiday, you now need to budget for an additional person as the cost is so exorbitant.
I wouldn’t mind paying a reasonable sum if the sunbeds were moved on a regular basis so that the sand could be dragged to remove detritus and fag ends from lazy smokers stubbing their fags out on the sand. No ashtrays are provided by the tavernas renting the sunbeds!
This beach was typical of many other beaches in Greece where tavernas have taken over the beaches and the authorities have relinquished control without checks on standards.
