Bar Beach的点评
点评：Bar Beach in Merimbula quickly became one of my favourite coastal spots on the Sapphire Coast. It has a different atmosphere compared to the long open beaches nearby — more relaxed, sheltered, and peaceful, especially later in the afternoon when the light starts changing over the water.
What I loved most was the contrast of landscapes here. Golden sand, smooth red and brown rocks, calm blue water and dramatic clouds rolling across the sky made the whole place feel almost cinematic. I spent a long time simply walking along the shoreline and watching the changing colours over the bay. The wooden viewing platform near the rocks is also a beautiful place to stop for photos or just sit quietly and enjoy the ocean views.
The beach feels very welcoming for different types of visitors. Families were swimming near the calmer water, while other people were fishing, exploring the rocks or simply relaxing on the sand. Even though it is a popular spot, it still feels connected to nature rather than overcrowded.
I especially enjoyed the rocky areas around the edge of the beach. They create small hidden corners where you can escape from the busier sections and listen to the sound of the water moving through the rocks. On a windy day, Bar Beach also feels more protected than some of the larger nearby beaches.
If you enjoy coastal walks, photography, sunsets, or simply sitting near the ocean without rushing anywhere, Bar Beach is definitely worth visiting while staying in Merimbula. It is one of those places that leaves a calm and lasting impression long after you leave.
