Ahhh...Ras Natango Gallery and Garden的点评
点评：Where to begin. The Williams family, Ian Ras Natango, Tamika and Ras Ayale, welcomed us with open arms and warm hugs. We spent some time talking about the gardens, the fight to repair the damage done by two hurricanes, and the long road back to where they are today. Despite Mother Nature’s challenges, the garden is lush, vibrant and relaxing.
There is something magical and spiritual when you enter the garden, it’s a feeling we’ve never experienced before. Tamika took us on a walk to each level of the rocky cliff that they transformed into floral tiers by hand. Around every corner is a piece of original artwork crafted from nature itself. Shark rocks, dragon trees, a huggable globe and so much more.
After the garden walk we came in to tour the art gallery and shop. Ras Natango
(Ian), Tamika and Ras Ayale are artists, each with their own special, individual form of expression. If you go into any hotel in Montego Bay you may see original Jamaican art by Ras. Tamika has so many talents, my favorites are her biography, available on Amazon, extraordinary eggshell art, beautiful jewelry and vibrant hand painted bags and pillow covers.
Ras Alaye studied art in Florida and brought his special talent home to share his vision of Jamaica with the world. I have the most amazing painting hanging in my home and plan to add another few when I go back in September.
We ended our time at Ahhh with a special Jamaican lunch prepared by Tamika.
